The GC Nonprofit News Team
Dear Jane,
I don’t believe we have ever met, but I have been an avid fan of GC Nonprofit News for several years. My purpose in writing is to say thanks for creating such a powerful and compelling publication.
After 40 years as CEO of Lighthouse Youth and Family Services, I have continued to engage with the community and currently serve as Board Chair for The Crossroads Center, an agency that is on the cusp of great things with our new CEO JB Boothe.
Yours truly,
With my new direction/calling in mind the universe worked its magic. I opened an email from Greater Cincinnati Nonprofit News, scrolled through and saw a job opening at the top of the list of “non-profit opportunities.” After conversations, dinners, and tours, I was offered and accepted the role as Executive Director of Ohio Alleycat Resource & Spay/Neuter Clinic.
We have been longtime supporters and advocators of Greater Cincinnati Nonprofit News. From their newsletter content to their community involvement, GCNN is both a driver and influencer for the nonprofit community. Over the years, we have had the opportunity to partner with them on successful events and have received tremendous support from Jane and her team. They put educating and informing the nonprofit community at the forefront of their efforts, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with GCNN.
When I asked my friend about getting your newsletter years ago, I did not dream it would have such an impact. In 2019, I learned through your newsletter of an open position at Council on Aging. I was hired by COA and started 2020. I’m now three years into my job, and couldn’t be happier. And it all started with GC Nonprofit News.
Posting our job opening in GC Nonprofit News was very helpful. Our large and highly qualified pool, I believe, was a result of the exposure in GC Nonprofit News.
Our recent event held in conjunction with GC Nonprofit News was a huge success with over 70 people in attendance. We were able to provide information about the upcoming non-profit financial statement changes and attendees were able to meet with others in the nonprofit field. We look forward to hosting additional events in the future.
I am a new subscriber to Greater Cincinnati Nonprofit News and I’m extremely happy to tell you that thanks to your job listings, I found a great job and have been HIRED! I will be working with Children, Inc. I really appreciate it.
We are happy to report we recently hired for a position at American Civil Liberties Union of Ohio and our most qualified applicant came from Greater Cincinnati Nonprofit News.
For the second year in a row, I have partnered with Greater Cincinnati Nonprofit News to help promote our annual Securing the Future conference. We always see our registrations bump up after the newsletter comes out and our conference is prominently featured! I am always referring people interested in nonprofits to sign up for the GC Nonprofit News. It’s a great resource for the entire nonprofit community.
The Greater Cincinnati Nonprofit News proved to be a valuable resource as I looked for a new position in the nonprofit sector. The job postings and insight provided through the weekly newsletter were my best source of information on opportunities most relevant to my job search. Best of all I found my new position from a posting in GC Nonprofit News.
I am grateful I found my perfect candidate for my open position in Greater Cincinnati Nonprofit News.
