Volunteer Coordinator - Ohio Senior Medicare Patrol

Pro Seniors is seeking a dedicated professional to join our Ohio SMP team. The individual will be responsible for the recruitment, training, continued engagement, management and recognition of volunteers statewide, and managing the volunteer component of the SMP database. 

Full-Time Position: Pro Seniors is seeking a dedicated professional to join our Ohio SMP team. The individual will be responsible for the recruitment, training, continued engagement, management and recognition of volunteers statewide, and managing the volunteer component of the SMP database. The Ohio SMP Volunteer Coordinator will work under the general supervision of the Ohio SMP Project Manager among a team of six paid staff. Occasional evening and weekend hours required.  Some travel required. 

About Pro Seniors: Founded in 1975, Pro Seniors is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping seniors maximize their independence and quality of life through the resolution of their legal and long-term care problems.

About Ohio SMP: Ohio Senior Medicare Patrol is a statewide program that recruits and trains senior volunteers to educate their peers on how to take an active role in detection, prevention and reporting of health care fraud, waste and abuse. Ohio SMP is funded by a grant from the Administration for Community Living.

Qualifications: Proven success in recruiting and managing volunteers; strong desire to assist seniors; excellent communication, time-management and organizational skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; database experience; the traits of confidence, integrity, and patience; bachelor’s degree preferred.
