Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Create a system of care for Foster Care families, Kinship families, Visitation and Parent Enrichment Programming.
To provide operational and strategic leadership for BAPC With All Families programs. Ensure achievement of programmatic and financial outcomes, while meeting licensing and other requirements for Foster Care, Kinship, and Job & Family Service Parent Enrichment Program units. Deliver and achieve agency goals. Establish operational plans, procedures, staffing, and policies, at all levels within programs. Model the mission, vision, and values of BAPC.
- Provides oversight and maintains accountability for program’s achievement of performance goals including outcomes and satisfaction, persons served, financial, common caseload-specific results, employee relations, development, and accountability for results.
- Co-creates with the program leads standard operating practices across programs as appropriate.
- Provides leadership and strategic guidance to promote department outcomes that are in alignment with the organizational priorities of Beech Acres’ mission, brand, revenue maximization and customer value proposition.
- Creates new and creative ways to recruit Foster Care and Kinship families.
- Promotes agency culture that embodies the values of High Quality, Data Informed Innovation to Achieve Positive Outcomes, Compassionate Service, Transformative DEI, Collaborative Team Culture, and Natural Strength Parenting.
- Sponsors and leads the quality improvement methodology.
- Provides leadership, guidance, and participation with Program Leaders to ensure effective key account relationships with government entities, community partners, foster parents, kinship providers, staff, and other caregivers. Regularly and systematically solicits feedback from funders, external stakeholders, foster parents and other partners to assess BAPC services and partnership.
- Partners, educates and advocates with local and state decision makers to stay abreast of system changes. Regularly scans for national best practices and conducts competitive analyses on relevant providers of similar programs.
- Manages program budgets by ensuring that monthly, quarterly and annual targets and thresholds are met. Ensure ebbs and flows within the programs and services are managed. Partners with CFO to reforecast as needed.
- Monitors human resource activities for staff and contractors. This includes position planning, hiring, individual staff development, team development and culture and alignment of staff capabilities to program needs. Ensures staff alignment and engagement with agency vision, mission, direction and principles.
- Establishes, implements and monitors systems utilized that enable and support successful service delivery and adherence to ODMHAS, COA and Beech Acres standards and protocols. Participates in quality assurance and improvement activities, work groups and related efforts including auditing and outcome/evaluation monitoring.
- Maintains effective client relationships with partners to ensure ongoing program success and positive relationships.
- This role is office based in nature and requires travel throughout the community to community partners and BAPC campuses.
Qualifications
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Social Work, Human Services, Psychology or related field preferred). Master’s Degree preferred.
- 5-7+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams and program(s) within a social services setting, including experience in program design/development, fiscal accountability, and process/procedure development is preferred.
- High level of innovative and critical thinking skills with the ability to effectively lead processes that support continuous improvement and model operationalization.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Strong ability to lead, develop, mentor and coach teams to success. Documented history of successfully developing and leading high performing teams.
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Ability to work collaboratively and to engage and motivate teams towards achievement of goals and targets.
