Position Summary

The VP of Talent is a key member of the Easterseals Redwood Senior Leadership Team and is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization while leading a team charged with ensuring the agency’s HR policies and practices are in accordance with applicable legal requirements. The position reports directly to the President and CEO.
Essential and Primary Responsibilities:
- Establish and implement HR efforts that advance the mission and objectives of the strategic plan.
- Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, leadership development, compensation and benefits.
- Fully implement HRIS; identify key metrics, analyze results and develop action plans for continuous improvement.
- Strategically assess and improve organizational effectiveness as agency grows
- Function as a coach and business advisor to the leadership of each service line or program area regarding key organizational and management issues.
- Establish a sound plan of management succession that corresponds to the objectives of the company.
- Develop training and professional development practices that grow the skills and potential of the agency workforce
- Develop comprehensive recruiting and retention plans to meet the human capital needs of the agency with a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Develop and recommend comprehensive compensation plans that are competitive and cost-effective.
- Effectively communicate HR policies and practices agencywide.
- Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer on the employee benefit package design and value.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Minimum of seven years of professional experience in human resources, five in direct management
- Professional certification in the field (SPHR and/or SHRM-SCP) preferred
- Future-minded, strategic thinker who motivates others and drives results
- Strong leadership and consulting skills
