Role Focus

The Stewardship Manager directs the integrity of donor data in Raiser’s Edge, ensuring that donor records are accurate, gifts are properly acknowledged, and stewardship protocols are followed. The Stewardship Manager manages the overall portfolio of donors, supporting solicitation strategies, and providing reports for ongoing analysis. A key component of these efforts center on the belief that datadrives relationships and relationships drive investments. The Stewardship Manager will embrace the leadership and/or support of key engagement efforts. The Stewardship Manager will be a lead resource for connecting Advancement staff with key community members.

General Responsibilities

  • Create, implement, and drive a stewardship program
  • Manage the daily operation of the database and ensure the accuracy and integrity of data input and output
  • Direct data collection of for identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship purposes
  • Oversee gift processing, acknowledging, reminders, and execution of automated stewardship protocols (especially as it pertains to scholarships)
  • Interface with Business Office to reconcile Advancement reports with GL reports
  • Ensure compliance with all gift policies related to donor records
  • Conduct donor research as requested
  • Maintain knowledge of new developments and features of Raiser’s Edge/RENXT, including being the lead point of contact for donor records in Raiser’s Edge for staff, managing training, updates, and problem solving
  • Lead and support the Advancement team as needed for special efforts (ie: Engagements)
  • Provide input on annual fund strategies (lists, segments, messaging, etc.)
  • Serve as an ambassador for Fenwick’s Advancement Office and its efforts
