Service Unit Director

Provide leadership, direction, assistance, and guidance in the development and implementation of the day-to-day operations of the service units; responsible for securing necessary resources through the management of development-related activities; goal achievement as outlined and mutually agreed upon.

Duties include the following:

• Supervise field representatives, employees, and administrative staff.
• Prepare and maintain department budget and process through DHQ Finance.
• Maintain all finance reports for monthly allocations.
• Ensure that staff is tracking all statistics and service unit reports.
• Assist field representatives in setting goals and evaluating programs.
• Ensure Heat Share and Columbia Gas Programs operate.
• Coordinate with field reps the Summer Camp Program and Service Units' Christmas program.
• Introduct new programs and work with staff to implement them.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of three years fundraising experience.
• Strong written communication and busdiness skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate professionally and effectively with key constituencies, both internal and external.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with database applications.
• Must be willing to travel throughout the Service Unit areas at least 50% of the time.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Must have an understanding of, and appreciation for, the mission of The Salvation Army.
