United Way of Greater Cincinnati (UWGC) has an immediate opening for Senior Program Manager who will play a pivotal role in driving and managing cross-functional initiatives to further our mission. You will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of projects, assessing capacity issues, and improving processes across the organization.

United Way of Greater Cincinnati (UWGC) has an immediate opening for Senior Program Manager who will play a pivotal role in driving and managing cross-functional initiatives to further our mission. You will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of projects, assessing capacity issues, and improving processes across the organization.

Key Areas of Responsibility: 

Drive and Manage Cross-Functional Deliverables:

  • Lead and facilitate cross-functional teams to ensure the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects and programs.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to identify project goals, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and regularly communicate progress to stakeholders.

 

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and issues related to project delivery and capacity constraints.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.

 

Evaluate Capacity Issues:

  • Assess the organization's capacity and resource allocation to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Identify potential resource gaps or bottlenecks and work with leadership to address them.
  • Develop strategies to optimize resource allocation.

 

Identification of Process Issues/Breakdowns and Development of New SOPs:

  • Analyze existing processes and workflows to identify areas of inefficiency, bottlenecks, or breakdowns.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop and implement new standard operating procedures (SOPs) and best practices to streamline operations.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of new SOPs, making improvements as necessary.

 

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including staff, volunteers, donors, and external partners, when applicable.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders on project status, risks, and opportunities.
  • Foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and accountability within the organization.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 7 plus years of proven experience in program management, business operations, or a related role.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office/Teams; SCRM experience preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and practices.

  • Innovative thinker with a track record of translating strategic thinking into inclusive actions plans and results.
  • Highly organized and effective in executing against cross functional initiatives.
  • Ability to build relationships across the organization and leverage relationships to drive achievement of organizational goals.

  • Proven experience and ability to lead, direct, coach and mentor teams in collaborative partnering to achieve goals.
  • Excellent writing, editing, verbal, analytical and presentation skills.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

 

 WORKING CONDITIONS: 

  • Normal office environment with little exposure to dust, noise, temperature, and the like.
  • Extended viewing of computer monitors.
  • Occasional local travel to events within the regional area and nationally.

 

Salary starting $75,000 annually plus competitive benefits package.
