JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Title: Senior Center Director
Salary Range: $40,000 - $45,000
Full Time: Monday – Friday (9-4:30)
Reports to: Board of Trustees
PURPOSE OF POSITION
This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Center, activities, and transportation services according to agency policies and procedures as well as administering supportive services to seniors.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
*Provide leadership in all aspects of program develop, staff management, organizational and financial plans with the board and staff, implement said plans and policies.
* Responsible for the recruitment, employment, training, supervision, and evaluation of employees in accordance with agency personnel policies.
* Responsible for informing the Board of Trustees on the condition of the Center and important factors influencing it; work collaboratively with the board, including participation in regular board meetings.
* Responsible for financial and accounting matters, including accounting of all revenue and expenses and preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.
* Responsible for communicating effectively with members, Board of Trustees and the community about services provided by the Center.
* Maintain official records and documents, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
* Responsible for Center facility, resolves routine problems, and responds to citizens and participants concerns and suggestions. Ensures proper maintenance, safety, and security of facility.
QUALIFICATIONS
* A bachelor’s degree in social services, nonprofit management, business, or another related field.
* Two to four years of nonprofit or other relevant experience, particularly in a people management/leadership role.
* Experience in working with the elderly population.
* Communication: written and verbal skills, public speaking, social media, and interpersonal skills.
* Organizational and planning skills, including the ability to multi-task and complete a varied set of tasks in a timely manner (willingness to wear multiple “hats”).
* Demonstrates passion for organization’s mission, enthusiasm, and professionalism.
* Comfortable working in a small-team atmosphere.
* Computer skills: Microsoft Office including Word and Excel. Knowledgeable of Quick Books.
