Best Point is seeking a Senior Accountant that will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions as well as providing accounting support for agency staff. This position requires the ability to manage deadlines, therefore strong time management and organizational skills are necessary. Strong accounting, analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. This individual will also be expected to provide technical accounting guidance, solve complex accounting issues, have a strong work ethic, and be dedicated to consistently producing high-quality work. The Senior Accountant will assist with balance sheet reconciliations/analysis, departmental analysis, expense management, financial analyses, accounts receivable, and key performance indicators.
Minimum Education, Experience, and Other Skill Requirements:
This position requires an Associate degree in accounting or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Current working experience in accounting/billing software and good spreadsheet skills required. Knowledge of composition, grammar, and punctuation is preferred as is knowledge of word processing. The ability to multi-task, perform in deadline situations, and exercise independent judgment to accomplish tasks is essential. Must possess minimum technical skills including familiarity with Microsoft Windows and the ability to use standard Microsoft Office applications.
