Program Operations Specialist
The Scripps Howard Foundation is seeking a Program Operations Specialist. We are looking for a self-motivated and organized individual that loves working with a small team to make a difference. This person will be responsible for providing a variety of administrative and program operations support to the department. Key support areas include but are not limited to general administration, communications, event planning, project planning support, review and proofreading of materials, facilitation and customer service.
The Scripps Howard Foundation is seeking a Program Operations Specialist. We are looking for a self-motivated and organized individual that loves working with a small team to make a difference. This person will be responsible for providing a variety of administrative and program operations support to the department. Key support areas include but are not limited to general administration, communications, event planning, project planning support, review and proofreading of materials, facilitation and customer service. This hybrid role is in Cincinnati, OH and will be in office 1 or 2 days and remote the other days,
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Serve as the primary resource in providing support to the project/program working in extensive collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Utilize and maintain software systems for implementation of various projects, events and processes.
- Respond to inquiries from program sponsors and participants and serve as the main point of contact responsible for monitoring shared email inbox.
- Handle complex customer inquiries related to custom-design online platforms.
- Create schedules and align activities to ensure meeting project deliverables.
- Create, prepare, update and proofread presentations, materials and reports as needed.
- Provide program and event-planning support to the program management team on an as-needed basis.
- Maintain program data for annual reporting purposes for assigned areas of focus.
- Work on special projects and customer service initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Three to five years of relevant experience required
- CMP certification preferred
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience learning and utilizing various software systems
- Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Positive attitude, ability to handle stressful situations
- Highly organized with excellent project management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to gather information and recommend solutions to challenges
- Work outside of official office hours is required periodically to support program event
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- May require the ability to work evenings and weekends to host and coordinate annual or special events
