Program Manager, Family Support Network
United Way of Greater Cincinnati has an immediate opening for a Program Manager to develop, manage and provide direct supervision for the Family Success Network, coordinating the day-to-day responsibilities for the Community Collaborations to Strengthen and Preserve Families grant funded project. This includes convening advisory groups, monitoring progress of sub-recipients, collecting performance measures and working with evaluation staff to conduct continuous quality improvement and evaluation, as well as prepare reports.

This includes convening advisory groups, monitoring progress of sub-recipients, collecting performance measures and working with evaluation staff to conduct continuous quality improvement and evaluation, as well as prepare reports.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Supervising and/or coaching Family Coaches, monitoring progress of project throughout the designated county area
- Collecting performance measures and working with third-party evaluator to conduct project evaluation, as well as preparing reports
- Conducting weekly supervision and/or training with the Family Coaches
- Developing a program manual
- Engaging families utilizing a strengths-based approach, where the Program Manager will gather an understanding of the families’ unique needs, provide information and referrals to local services as needed/requested by the family, explain the tenets of the program and the services available, and assess the families’ need for and willingness to engage in additional, more intensive services
- Convene and facilitate meetings amongst collaborative members
- Collaborate with evaluation staff to facilitate and support the completion of the updated needs and resource assessment for the project
- Facilitate and support the development and implementation of grant activities through coordinating services with local implementation partners
- Monitor local implementation partners through quarterly progress reports and monthly site visits
- Provide technical assistance to local implementation partners, which also includes any needed trainings and coordination
- Submit regular programmatic and fiscal reports to the Administration for Children and Families, Youth and Families – Children’s Bureau, as well as to other identified partners requesting data
- Represent the Ohio Children’s Trust Fund at any required national and local trainings and meetings
- Actively engage with family and child serving systems, including attendance at community meetings, such as Family and Children First Council
- Provides Tier II and Tier III services, as needed
- Serve as point of contact for the project for the Ohio Children’s Trust Fund
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work/counseling, or related field; Master’s and licensed social worker preferred
- 5-10 years of relevant experience, providing services to families or children, including prevention or treatment related to child abuse and neglect
- Current training and/or credentials, or will receive training and/or credentials upon hiring, for the following programs: Triple P Positive Parenting, evidence-based parenting programs, Motivational Interviewing, Strengthening Families Protective Factors Framework, Ohio’s Practice Profiles, Ohio’s Keeping Children Safe
- Demonstrated experience working within systems to remove barriers for families seeking services, and arrange interagency meetings designed to coordinate services and ensure effective collaboration
- Experience referring families to services (substance abuse, mental health, housing and childcare, etc.) within their local community and identifying, engaging and providing services to families with identified risk
- Preferred experience administering the universal screening tools
- Experience ensuring data collection and documentation is consistent with rules and regulations as prescribed by both applicable state and federal laws and policies
- Valid state issued driver’s license and automobile insurance
- Position hours – workday is 7.5 hours typically between 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday; however, schedule may vary to provide occasional support of evening and Saturday meetings.
