We are hiring a motivated and detail-oriented Program Assistant to support our programs.
Position Overview: The Program Assistant will play a critical role in supporting the successful implementation of our programs and initiatives. This individual will provide administrative, logistical, and operational support to ensure the community garden, Tau House, and development work runs smoothly and effectively. Duties are varied, including coordinating food and lodging components for retreat groups, working in the community garden, and office work.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the planning, coordinating, and executing program activities and events.
- Maintain program schedules, calendars, and documentation.
- Provide administrative support, including preparing materials, managing correspondence, and organizing files.
- Provide assistance and coordination in garden and in preparing to receive new groups, i.e. grocery shopping, setting up living facilities, light cleaning/laundry
- Monitor and track program progress, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.
- Respond to inquiries from program participants, partners, and stakeholders.
- Assist in data collection, reporting, and evaluation of program outcomes.
- Coordinate volunteer engagement and communication as needed.
- Support fundraising or outreach efforts related to program activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in nonprofit management, social services, or a related field (preferred).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software (e.g., Google Workspace, project management tools).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Prior experience in program coordination, administration, or similar roles (preferred).
