Job Summary

The Individual Giving Manager  has a key role within our Development Team.  This position will focus on donor engagement, retention, and acquisition by managing a portfolio of donors. By leveraging personalized communication strategies, both digital and in-person, you will work to build long-term relationships that drive giving and enhance the donor experience, ultimately supporting the sustainability and growth of our youth development programs.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for youth development, have proven experience in donor relations, and possess the creativity and drive to enhance engagement with supporters of all levels. This role will also collaborate across departments to align fundraising initiatives with organizational goals and ensure that our donors feel valued and involved in the work we do.

Job Description

Key Responsiblities: 

Donor Engagement & Portfolio Management

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with annual donors through personalized communications and engagement strategies to encourage long-term support.

  • Utilize various channels (meetings, phone, email, social media, etc.) to keep donors connected to the mission.

  • Document all donor interactions in the database and implement technology-driven strategies for targeted messaging.

  • Support fundraising campaigns and events, ensuring alignment with goals and donor satisfaction.

Stewardship & Engagement

  • Develop and execute engagement plans for key donor groups to enhance their connection with the organization.

  • Coordinate with program staff to share updates on the impact of donor contributions.

Collaborative Leadership & Institutional Support

  • Work with internal teams to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals.

  • Serve as a donor relations liaison, providing updates and support to donors.

  • Contribute to the organization’s broader goals, including youth programs, outreach, and advocacy.

Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience: 2-5 years of relevant experience in nonprofit fundraising, donor relations, or annual giving.

Skills:

  • Proven success in donor engagement, relationship building, and meeting fundraising goals.

  • Strong communication skills across various channels (meetings, phone, email, social media).

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.

  • Creative problem-solver with a strategic approach to donor engagement and retention.

  • High ethical standards and discretion with confidential information.

Tech Proficiency:

  • Experience with donor management systems (Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, etc.).

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • Proficient in video conferencing tools (Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
