Job Summary

Mobile Market coordinator provides oversight of the day-to-day operation of the Healthy Harvest Mobile Market. Mobile Market Coordinator job includes the purchasing, acquiring and loading of product, driving and setting up the market, breakdown and unloading, cleaning, sorting spoiled product, inventory, transactions, register settlement, bank deposits and support of the market processes along with providing site-level relationship management. This position is responsible for purchasing inventory, supervision of the retail operations, monitoring/evaluating of site performance. Will directly work with co-mobile market coordinator, customers; must consistently provide excellent customer service and excellent product. Represent FSFB and the Healthy Harvest Mobile Market in the community in a professional and positive manner. And transport mobile market truck and trailer to and from community locations.

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience:

Excellent customer service skills.

Merchandising experience preferred.

Skills & Abilities :

High degree of creativity, innovation and flexibility. “Big picture” thinker with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Demonstrated ability to work within a collaborative team environment

Ability to drive the Mobile Market vehicle (truck and tow behind trailer) required.

Must have a valid driver’s license and own transportation.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.

Work Environment:

Frequent travel/driving in primarily urban communities

Outdoors with cover however program runs year round, position will be in varying weather conditions

 

Job Description

Mobile Market coordinator provides oversight of the day-to-day operation of the Healthy Harvest Mobile Market. Mobile Market Coordinator job includes the purchasing, acquiring and loading of product, driving and setting up the market, breakdown and unloading, cleaning, sorting spoiled product, inventory, transactions, register settlement, bank deposits and support of the market processes along with providing site-level relationship management. This position is responsible for purchasing inventory, supervision of the retail operations, monitoring/evaluating of site performance. Will directly work with co-mobile market coordinator, customers; must consistently provide excellent customer service and excellent product. Represent FSFB and the Healthy Harvest Mobile Market in the community in a professional and positive manner. And transport mobile market truck and trailer to and from community locations.

Maintains knowledge of and connect customers to other FSFB and community services.

Essential Job Functions:

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Healthy Harvest Mobile Market and supervision of the overall program. Management of existing community sites and fostering new relationships with community partners as determined with Manager.

Collaborate with program staff & local sources to ensure healthy and nutritious products are continually stocked.

Manage daily and monthly reporting accurately

Additional Responsibilities:

Implement program logistics, and monitoring of program inventory. Direct and coordinate the sites and route management and product distribution.

Works with purchasing partners to ensure healthy and nutritious products are continually stocked.

Maintain current knowledge of regulations of Health Department, Ohio & Kentucky Department of Agriculture, AIB (current third party institution) and other regulatory institutions.

Builds on and learns from current community partnerships and investigates similar projects around the country to determine how FSFB can further serve the community and support food access and self-sufficiency in Cincinnati.

Maintains familiarity with other FSFB programs, departments, and staff in order to seek opportunities to collaborate and to connect customers to other services.

Participates in fundraising, special events, and other community activities supported by or in support of FSFB.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Experience:

Excellent customer service skills.

Merchandising experience preferred.

Must be Servsafe certified or receive certification within three months of the hire date.

Must be willing to travel daily on Mobile Market vehicle within service area.

Extensive working experience in the use of technology applications and infrastructure is strongly desired.

Ability to accomplish goals within timeframes and complete reports by appropriate dates.
