Gift Officer, UWGC
United Way of Greater Cincinnati is seeking an experienced relationship builder to join our development team. The Gift Officer will play a pivotal role in growing donors and revenue at the major gift level in coordination with the organization's fundraising strategy.

We are seeking an experienced relationship builder to join our development team. The Gift Officer will play a pivotal role in growing donors and revenue at the major gift level in coordination with the organization's fundraising strategy.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of cultivating strong relationships with donors, volunteers, and community stakeholders.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Portfolio Management: Build relationships with current and prospective donors with the capacity for major giving. Manage a portfolio of 100+ donors and prospects.
- Securing New and Increased Giving: Identify, qualify, and solicit major gifts from individuals to achieve personal fundraising goals.
- Volunteer Collaboration: Engage volunteers to leverage their relationships and networks to identify and solicit new and increased gifts.
- Solicitation & Materials: Develop and customize materials and offers that match donor interests and capacity.
- Cultivation Events: Manage events and activities that provide opportunities to meet and qualify prospects.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in major gift fundraising, donor relations, or related roles.
- Proven track record of securing significant gifts from individuals, corporations, and foundations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience in crafting compelling donor proposals and presentations.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in donor management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Frequent travel to events and meetings within the regional area.
- Willingness to work some evenings and weekends.
- Commitment to the organization's mission and values, with a passion for making a difference in the community.

Salary starting $65,000, plus competitive benefits package
