JOB SUMMARY

DCCH, a non-profit social service agency serving children and families, is seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, be detail-oriented, and have excellent problem-solving skills. The primary responsibility of this position is to assist in the overall general maintenance of the facility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify issues and ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on low voltage systems, hydraulics, and other mechanical components.
  • Analyze schematics to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems effectively.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy in repairs and installations.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and inquiries.
  • Assist in the operation of HVAC systems as well as perform minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting
  • Exterior grounds maintenance as well as fire and life safety and building monitoring systems
  • Fabricate parts or components as needed to support maintenance operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, or electrical fields.
  • Familiarity with low voltage systems, hydraulics, and schematics is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and accurately.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Able to work and collaborate with team members effectively and efficiently.
  • Technical sales experience is beneficial for understanding client needs and providing solutions.

As an employee at DCCH Center for Children and Families, the Facility Maintenance Technician shall be sensitive and responsive to cultural differences, which are present in the organization’s service population.  In addition, this person must promote and support the principles of Trauma Informed Care (TIC) throughout the agency.

This position will be working primarily a day shift Monday through Friday 8-5pm.
