Job Summary

The Executive Director (ED) leads and manages PTH, overseeing operations, finances, programs, staff, and volunteers. The ED drives strategic planning, fundraising, and stakeholder relationships to achieve the organization’s mission and goals. The ED oversees financial management, develops policies and procedures, and ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The ED collaborates with the board of directors, develops strategic plans, and represents the organization to the public. The ED’s role is to drive the organization’s success and make a positive impact to the communities it serves.

Job Description

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of two locations, Give and Take Pantry, and outreach programming
  • Awareness of community needs to incorporate into programs
  • Help assure continued visibility, viability, and excellent reputation of PTH
  • Lead networking, fundraising, and grant writing efforts to raise PTH awareness,resulting in additional growth of PTH.
  • Ensure that services and funding relationships are robust enough to meet or exceed strategic goals and objectives
  • Prepare accurate and timely analyses that capture and communicate fundraising results, variances, and performance trends and regularly report to the board of directors
  • Supervise the development of operations-based financial modeling
  • Coordinate and lead annual budget reviews, monthly reviews, and periodic forecast updates
  • Assure compliance with all contracts PTH enters into with other institutions or agencies
  • Provide leadership to and manage the efforts of site staff to ensure appropriate support of all departments
  • Retain a diverse, highly qualified staff and volunteers by providing career coaching, growth, and personal development for workers
  • Oversee human resource function of organization
  • Approve significant systems implementations

Requirements and Skills:

  • Proven work experience as a Non-Profit Executive Director or similar role
  • Experience running fundraising initiatives
  • Knowledge of volunteer recruitment and how to get individuals and businesses involved for the organization’s success
  • Experience building positive workplace culture
  • Strong knowledge of financials and how to build financial forecasting documentsfor the board of directors
  • Relevant training and/or certifications as a Non-Profit Executive Director or similar role
  • Excellent public speaking skills and writing skills.
  • Ability to supervise multiple employees to maximize efficiency, effectiveness, job satisfaction, and retention.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, masters preferred.
