Job Summary

CSC is seeking passionate candidates for a full-time Coordinator concentrating on Events & Marketing. This position reports to the VP of Development & Marketing and works closely with various roles to coordinate, create, and deliver marketing needs.  In addition, the Coordinator is also responsible for supporting, and in some cases leading, multiple fundraising events. This position’s skill set requires tremendous attention to detail and strong relationship skills.  This position will appeal to an individual who is looking for a mix of community-oriented, mission driven work.  The Coordinator will enjoy experiencing our mission in action in a supportive and flexible work environment.

No one can, or should, face cancer alone.  Cancer Support Community Greater Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky (CSC) works relentlessly to uplift and strengthen people impacted by cancer by providing support, fostering compassionate communities, and breaking down barriers to care.

Reports To: VP of Development& Marketing;  Hours: Full-time

 

Essential Job Responsibilities:

 EVENTS

  • At times lead and other times provide secondary support to ensure successful creation, planning, and execution of diverse fundraising events
  • Coordinate event details and logistics such as: invitations; RSVP management; décor; catering; coordination of and procurement of items for auctions
  • Support and help coordinate sponsorship asks
  • Conduct post-event evaluations & stewardship
  • Support other events as needed, including recognition, cultivation and programming events

 MARKETING

  • Helps develop content and strategy for website, digital communications and social media
  • Assists in producing print and electronic newsletters
  • Assist in producing collateral pieces (i.e. brochures, invitations, flyers, event booklets)
  • Coordinate media relations, press releases and other applicable outreach activities

These job responsibilities represent only the essential and most significant duties of the position.  This job description does not exclude other work assignments, directives and responsibilities not mentioned herein.  Required to work occasional nights and weekends.

 

Education and Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or High school diploma and commensurate experience
  • Ability to adapt systems to keep pace with dynamic operations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must maintain confidentiality of sensitive and confidential information

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong passion for making a difference in the lives of cancer patients and loved ones
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work as a team but manage your own areas independently
  • Ability to relate well to a diverse group of volunteers, community members, participants, and staff
  • A sense of humor, creativity and a collaborative spirit
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite essential, experience in Canva, event/donor software a plus
  • Cultural competency and ability to work with diverse staff, volunteers, and the community to further CSC’s mission

 

Compensation:

$50,000-$55,000 annual salary to commensurate with experience, generous paid time off and holiday schedule, and more.
