Director of Youth Housing Opportunities

This position is responsible for the effective and safe operations of the program. Through Lighthouse Youth Housing Opportunities, young adults master essential life skills while living in safe, furnished apartments.  Lighthouse provides each young adult with a furnished apartment and basic household supplies. There is a range of housing options, including supervised living in agency owned buildings and scattered site apartments. 

Individual should be creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, and flexible, possessing a positive attitude, tact, good judgment, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work well as a team member with staff, community professionals and volunteers and all consumers and constituents of the organization.

Responsibilities:

1. Monitor the ongoing census, program outcomes and compliance with grants and contracts
2. Maintains fiscal responsibility and cultivates additional funding sources
3. Ensures positive programming, life skills and services connections for clients
4. Responsible for ensuring the entire facility is well maintained, clean and orderly
5. Ensure effective staff training and use of crisis de-escalation and trauma informed care approaches in working with clients
6. Assists in the writing of grants/contracts and any funder required reporting requirements
7. Creates and maintains positive relationship with stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree with at least two (2) years of program management.
2. Experience with the homeless youth population preferred.
3. Proven experience with government grants preferred.
4. Demonstrated leadership/supervisory experience.
5. Must have strong leadership experience and possess exemplary interpersonal, oral and writing skills.
6. Strong ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders, focusing on exceeding customer expectations of the services provided.
7. Ability to analyze data in order to develop strategies and measure outcomes.
8. Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities, produce quality work and meet strict deadlines.
9. Well-networked in the Greater Cincinnati community a plus.
10. Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
