Director of Residential Services

Lighthouse Youth & Family Services is seeking a Director of Residential Services.  The Director will manage Residential programs providing services to systems involved youth ages 11-18 with emotional and behavioral problems associated with trauma and mental health treatment needs.  If you have a passion for leading within this population, this role is for you!

The services provided at our residential centers are geared to help youth overcome barriers and empower them to make positive changes for their futures. We strive to provide a safe nurturing environment from which our youth can grow and develop, making the progress needed to return to their family or move into a lower level of care. 

 The Director should be creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, and flexible; possessing a positive attitude, tact, good judgment, cultural sensitivity; and the ability to work well as a team member with employees, community professionals, and volunteers.

Salary starting at $60,000

Essential Job Functions:

• Monitors the ongoing census, program outcomes and compliance with grants and contracts
• Ensures that program operations follow all accreditation and regulatory bodies. 
• Utilizes a data driven approach to managing day to day operations and program outcomes.
• Maintains fiscal responsibility and cultivates additional funding sources
• Ensures positive therapeutic programming with adherence to utilized treatment models and approaches.
• Maintains a positive staff culture that reflects the “Lighthouse Way” and promotes a welcoming team driven work environment.
• Ensures the entire facility is well maintained, clean and orderly.
• Ensures effective staff training and use of crisis de-escalation and trauma informed care approaches in working with clients.
• Assists in the writing of grants/contracts and any funder required reporting requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with at least three (3) years of program management preferred.
• Experience with the youth population preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership/supervisory experience.
• Possess exemplary interpersonal, oral and writing skills.
• Strong ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders, focusing on exceeding customer expectations of the services provided.
• Ability to analyze data to develop strategies and measure outcomes.
• Ability to successfully manage multiple priorities, produce quality work and meet strict deadlines.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.
