Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To provide program leadership of Beyond the Classroom (BtC) to ensure that the needs of children, families and school partners are met and outcomes derived as per the BAPC Strategic Plan

  • Responsible for implementing BtC program strategic plans, policies, and procedures aligned to the vision and mission of BAPC.
  • Manages program budget by ensuring that monthly, quarterly and annual targets and thresholds are met. Ensures ebbs and flows within the programs and services are managed. 
  • Is consistently visible in schools, managing school partnerships, and holding schools accountable to clinical and performance goals.
  • Monitors human resource activities for staff and contractors. This includes position planning, hiring, individual staff development, team development and culture and alignment of staff capabilities to program needs.
  • Collaborates with clinical supervisors/Managers to ensure High Quality Standards in behavioral health including: efficient and effective delivery of quality services that meet clients’ needs inclusive of compliance.
  • Drives BtC’s achievement of performance goals related to Growth including: client outcomes and satisfaction, persons served, utilization, employee relations and development.
  • Leads ongoing data analysis, continuous improvement, facilitation of learning projects, and operationalization of BtC model..
  • Collaborates with clinical supervisors/Managers to ensure adherence to ODMHAS, COA and Beech Acres standards and protocols.
  • Co-supervises Senior Team Leads, Program Supervisors, and Managers to maintain accountability and excellent service.
  • Oversees professional development in collaboration with BtC team.
  • Maintains effective customer relationships with external and internal partners, including schools, staff, parents, and others in order to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Works cross functionally to lead development and achievement of program outcomes across the agency.
  • Collaborates with Director of Prevention (TCE) to ensure the integration of BAPC Natural Strength Parenting (NSP) practices across all program services and continuum.
  • Partners with Learning and Development Senior Specialist to ensure clinical interventions are aligned with best practices and evidenced-based interventions aligned with BAPC NPS practices.

Qualifications

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  Master’s Degree (Social Work, Human Services, Psychology or related field preferred).

  • 5+ years of experience leading program(s) within a social services or healthcare setting, including experience in program design/development, fiscal accountability, and process/procedure development is preferred.
  • LISW/LPCC required; LISW-S/LPCC-S licensure preferred.   
  • Previous experience with schools is required; experience in urban settings is preferred.
  • Quality Improvement (QI) experience preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of youth mental health, trauma-informed care, and culturally responsive practices.
