Development Manager, MP
The Development Manager (DM) is a full-time, salaried position at Master Provisions (MP). The DM is responsible for the financial success of all special events and will work with the team on planning and strategy for the annual event calendar. The DM owns strategy and relationship management of targeted major donors, networking to gain new donors and sponsors, responsibility for growth of our recurring donor program, and growing MP’s legacy giving program. The DM ensures that all aspects of his/her job performance are consistent with MP’s mission.
PURPOSE OF POSITION

QUALIFICATIONS
- Nonprofit fund development experience preferred. Other transferrable skills include sales, management, fundraising, and grant-writing experience
- Excellent communications and leadership skills
- Demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems while working in a team environment
- Effective project management, public speaking, and people/time management skills
- Proficient in word-processing, spreadsheet, and presentation programs - Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Canva
- Proactive management abilities to meet or exceed measurable job performance goals
- Strong faith foundation and belief in the mission of Master Provisions to serve God in all we do
- College degree preferred
AREAS of RESPONSIBILITY
- Manage special events development including recruiting donors and sponsors to meet or exceed annual special events fundraising goals.
- Expand relationships with all regular donors with a written management plan creating a culture of gratitude. Develop a clear plan to encourage current donors to take the next step in giving, volunteering, promoting MP.
- Develop individual prospective donor relationships.
- Maintain targeted major donor relationships. Seek and meet with possible new donors weekly with focuses on unrestricted gifts.
- Manage recurring donor program growth – developing a clear comprehensive plan for the ministry to raise consistent funds and continue to grow annually.
- Expand legacy giving program with a focus on deferred gifts such as bequest expectancies. Plan annual seminar.
- Manage and complete miscellaneous fundraising activities such as corporate fundraising drives, special campaigns, giving days or offerings, special events, and miscellaneous fundraisers annually.
- Research and oversee all grant writing and submissions. Search for new grant opportunities with a goal of all grants submitted two weeks prior to the stated deadline. Ensure grants are tracked in CRM.
- Learn and utilize the shared CRM system for development planning, record-keeping, tracking, and activity completion purposes and tasks.
- Collaborate with staff to prepare agenda for weekly development team planning/accountability meetings.
- Assist with quarterly committee meetings, working in conjunction with the board member serving as Committee chair. Proactively build strategy and seek assistance from committee on future needs and mission at MP.
- Serve as an advocate for MP in the community by attending NKY/Cincy Chamber events, various networking groups and accepting public speaking engagements. Lead tours to represent MP and expand awareness of the organization.
- Serve as an ambassador for MP by asking for physical and spiritual support, i.e., engagement in prayer, volunteerism, in-kind donations, and financial support.
- Perform other duties as specified by supervisor and President.
- Serve once a month in the warehouse.
- Promote a strong Christian culture focusing on collaborative partnerships and authentic relationships.
WORK REQUIREMENTS
- Work 40 hours per week with an office at MP. Attend weekly Monday MP staff meeting.
- Work occasional evenings, weekends, or travel out of town as the needs of the mission dictate.
