Database & Development Coordinator
Lighthouse is seeking a Database & Development Coordinator who is a detail-oriented self-starter to be responsible for managing the donor database and other software solutions; preparing donor acknowledgment letters; supporting fundraising and donor development efforts; and assisting with fundraising-specific communications. This is a full-time position with competitive salary and benefits.
The Database & Development Coordinator is a member of Lighthouse's Development Team, which is responsible for driving growth of donated revenue through a comprehensive fundraising program that meets and exceeds annual and long-term financial goals. This position works closely with members of the Development Team in a supportive environment dedicated to advancing the organization's mission: to empower young people and families to succeed through a continuum of care that promotes healing and growth.
Salary starting at $20.08 per hour
Essential Functions:
Lead the administration of the donor database and other software solutions that support development efforts.
Update and maintain accurate data on all donors and gifts; maintain hard copy and electronic files.
Ensure all gifts are recorded and acknowledged in a timely manner.
Support planning and execution of fundraising efforts and events.
Support the organization's donor development process.
Prepare mailing lists for mass correspondence, including event materials, newsletters, appeals, stewardship mailings, and emails.
Create reports to fulfill requests for information and follow processes for keeping these organized and easy to access for future use.
Complete month-end reporting processes and assist with reconciliation processes as necessary.
Assist with fundraising-specific communications activities such as special appeals and emails.
Utilize the online marketing tool and manage its processes, including creating and sending emails, setting up events, processing donations, troubleshooting errors, and adding constituents.
Perform donor research as needed by CEO, CDO, or others.
Implement processes for ensuring excellent data quality throughout the database.
Address any system problems that may arise, working with the vendor's support team to resolve them.
Remain informed about new functions and abilities of vendor's products.
Qualifications:
At least two years of professional work experience.
Database management experience.
Experience in a fundraising or non-profit setting.
Ability to exercise sound judgment and professional discretion.
Demonstrated proficiency with technology, including database entry and all Microsoft Office products (or comparable systems). Experience with donor management software such as Raiser's Edge preferred.
