Job Title: Community Education Coordinator, Part-Time
Reports To: Director of Membership & CLE
Job Description: The Cincinnati Bar Association is seeking a Community Education Coordinator to work with CBA members and the local community in service projects, public education and diversity and inclusion efforts.
About us: We are a downtown non-profit professional organization serving thousands of attorneys in Greater Cincinnati. Our mission is to serve our members and educate the public. We provide educational training, professional development opportunities and social events for our members.
Responsibilities: The Community Education Coordinator represents the CBA by planning and executing public education events and programs. The coordinator works with CBA members and community partners on diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and community service opportunities for members. Responsibilities include:
- Building partnerships between the CBA and community organizations to develop community service, law-related public service, and pro bono service collaborations
- Coordinating CBA diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives
- Working with committees to plan and execute projects.
- Planning special events
- Managing recruitment for project-based volunteerism
Examples of projects the Community Education Coordinator would manage include:
- Judicial Poll and Judicial Forums
- Law Student Receptions and Summer Clerkship Program
- Participation in community events, such as the Cincinnati Pride Parade
- Young Lawyers Section Holiday Giving Basket
- Lawyers Connecting Beyond the Law
- CBA Speakers Bureau
Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with CBA members, community partners and the public
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of best practices for community engagement, communications, and volunteer programs
- Proficiency in MS office suite
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in an association or non-profit organization is preferred
- Familiarity with the Greater Cincinnati legal community is a plus
Education: Two-year degree from a college or university
