Job Summary

Position encompasses the general responsibility of all accounting services for Cincinnati City activities.  Communicates with department supervisors any necessary financial information and prepares reports as needed.

Job Description

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare monthly billings for government grants - Anti-Human Trafficking, Rapid Rehousing, Emergency Services, and Hamilton County Mental Health.
  • Assist various departments with grant preparation by providing financial information.
  • Prepare annual budgets with the assistance of department supervisors.  Add budgets for the five Corps under the direction of Cincinnati City Activities.
  • Responsible for balance sheet for City Activities, Westside Learning Center, and Consolidated Corp activities.
  • Prepare reports for fiscal year closing, audit packaging for internal and external auditors, and monthly journal entries.
  • Enter payroll manual check into AP systems from payroll worksheet and enter payroll information into Serenic.
  • Analyze, assess, and prepare monthly bank reconciliations with backup as required.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements for divisional headquarters staff, Cincinnati Advisory Board, etc.
  • Analyze, assess, and prepare monthly projections for year-end, beginning in April.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Business Administration or equivalent non-profit experience
