Childcare Director
The goal of our Director is to Increase the professional capacity of early childhood professionals both within and outside of the agency, in order to enhance the social and emotional well-being of young children.
Learning Grove is a leading nonprofit early childhood education provider in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. Our centers have operated across Greater Cincinnati for more than 40 years, and we serve children ages 6 weeks through 6 years. Our child care staff work in beautiful, high-quality classrooms.

Overview of the Director role:
The Program Director oversees all activities necessary to ensure successful family and child outcomes on a daily basis and works closely with Learning Grove Leadership to ensure consistent family support. The Director assists and implements policies, goals, objectives, and educational philosophy through oversight of the program.
What we need from you:
We’ve built the beautiful, home-like classrooms and need directors to supervise the implementation of a developmental Constructivist Theory and mentoring, supervising and evaluating child care staff.
We need directors to handle the business and operations of USDA/Food Program, United Way, HCDHS Vouchers and community partnerships.

Minimum Education, Experience and Other Skill Requirements for Child Care Director:

- CDA, Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred in Early Childhood Education, Human Development and Family Studies, Human Ecology or related field.
- Prior experience in supervising and evaluating teachers and teachers in training.
- Two year’s supervisor experience in a child care center working with infants through school age.
