Business Manager/HR Director
Bishop Fenwick High School is seeking qualified, experienced candidates for the position of Business & HR Director: The individual should have previous (5 years) experience managing finances and directing Human Resource issues, policies and labor management.
POSITION SUMMARY: The primary duties are to maintain and enhance the School’s financial and accounting systems, controls and standards including budget management, tuition management, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and human resources.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor degree in accounting or finance. Five or more years of accounting and budgeting experience. Supervisory performance evaluation experience. Experience working with board and committee structure. Human resource experience.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Finance and Accounting • Support, promote, and model the mission of Bishop Fenwick High School • Maintain and enhance the school’s financial and accounting systems, controls, and standards. • In close collaboration with the Principal, manages preparation and approval of the annual operating and capital expenditure budgets, including proposals for tuition, compensation, capital improvements, and other financial priorities
Manages the distribution of financial assistance, and maintains accurate financial records of all awards • Communicates finance policies and financial expectations effectively with all parents • Manages the annual independent review of the school’s statements of financial position, activities, and changes in net assets and cash flows •
Manages all aspects of cash which includes: timing of vendor payments, projecting future cash receipts and requirements, management of any line of credit and discussion of results and projections with principal and finance committee • Supervises finance office personnel • Oversees and ensures compliance with all policies and protocols regarding cash and credit card transactions, purchasing, and budgeting • Performs monthly closings and generates quarterly financial statements and financial status and analysis for the finance committee • Monitors the performance of the school’s investments • Works closely with the Advancement Office to ensure that funds are received and pledges reported and reconciled accurately • Updates the accounting and financial policies and procedures as needed • Oversees and ensures insurance coverages on all assets and operations • Performs other duties and responsibilities, and creates ad hoc financial reports as assigned by the Principal
Revenue Management • Manages student billing for all grades • Oversight of State funded scholarships; Jon Peterson, EdChoice, EdChoice Expansion • Oversight of over named scholarship awards • Manages Accounts Receivable • ACR management and reporting for Ohio mandated services funding
Budget Management • Develop annual school budget • Reviewing proposals for completeness, accuracy and compliance with company standards • Cnsolidating the organizational budget for review • Vetting funding requests for merit and authenticity • Monitoring spending and keeping the organization within its set budget • Preparing reports and estimating future financial needs
Account Payables Management • Oversight of vendor contract • Management of student tablet lease program • Vendor management including 1099 reporting • Vendor authorization and approval • Works closely with the Principal on employee contracts • Ensures required employee payroll documents and information are received • Processes bi-weekly payroll • Maintains required employee payroll records
Human Resources • is responsible for HR management • Provides new employee onboarding for payroll, benefits, and mandated services • Benefits administration and liaison to Archdiocese of Cincinnati • Manages leave of absence process and reporting • Facilitate workers compensation/injury reporting • Collaborates with the Principal to update the employee personnel handbook annually • Maintains required employee records
