The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Northern Kentucky is seeking an experienced and dynamic Advancement Director to lead our fundraising efforts and build relationships that support our mission of serving those in need. This key leadership role will oversee the development and execution of comprehensive strategies, including major gifts, corporate giving, grants, and special events, to meet our annual fundraising goal of $1.1M. The Advancement Director will play a pivotal role in fostering community engagement and ensuring the sustainability of our impactful programs.

About Us:
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul Northern Kentucky is a faith-based nonprofit organization focused on providing direct assistance to individuals and families facing hardship. Last year, we provided $948,000 in rent and utility assistance, ensuring families could remain in their homes with access to vital resources. Through our programs—including food pantries, furniture assistance, and initiatives like Sweet Dreams, Summer Breeze, and Homeless Assistance—we serve our neighbors with dignity and care. With a robust network of volunteers and community partnerships, we address immediate needs while empowering our clients to achieve long-term stability.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Executive Director and as a key member of the leadership team, the Advancement Director will develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to achieve a $1.1M annual goal. This role includes major gift solicitation, grants, special events, planned giving, and donor stewardship. Additionally, the Advancement Director will oversee a dedicated team, manage communication efforts, and represent SVdP NKY in the community to advance our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute an annual fundraising plan, including a capital campaign, to meet revenue objectives.
- Cultivate and steward relationships with donors, managing a portfolio of 20-25 high-value prospects.
- Lead and mentor a team of 3-4 professionals to achieve Advancement goals.
- Oversee grant writing, special events like the Turkeyfoot Trot, and donor engagement efforts.
- Manage communications, including appeals, newsletters, and social media, ensuring alignment with the Communications Associate.
- Represent SVdP NKY at events and community functions to strengthen partnerships.
- Use data-driven approaches to analyze donor behavior and refine fundraising strategies.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent nonprofit experience.
- 5+ years of successful fundraising experience, including securing 5-6 figure gifts and capital campaign expertise.
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for mentoring teams and engaging with people.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and analytical abilities.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- Flexibility to attend evening and weekend events as needed.
- A passion for advancing the mission of SVdP NKY and serving our neighbors in need.
