Administrative Assistant, SB-Coalition
The Spina Bifida Coalition seeks an Administrative Assistant who has a passion for helping others with a comprehensive understanding of child-onset chronic health conditions and/or development disabilities. This position will support the Executive Director in the daily activities of the organization while supporting the mission of the organization which is to empower those living with spina bifida to achieve their maximum potential in eastern, northeastern, and southern Ohio, northern Kentucky, southeastern Indiana, and West Virginia. This position is hourly, and the individual will work remotely.
Job Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, be self-directed, flexible, team player, compassionate, understand the importance of confidentiality and exhibit strong problem-solving skills. Candidates should possess strong computer skills and confidence using Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, as well as a basic understanding of accounting software (QuickBooks) and knowledge of/or a desire to learn Salsa (Constituent Related Database). In addition, a High School diploma or equivalent or relevant vocational or customer service experience is required.
Responsibilities
Assist the Executive Director in the daily operations of the organization. Must be a team player with the ability to interact with other SBC staff and volunteers. Duties to include, but not limited to:
- Maintain organization calendar
- Respond to emails and other communications as directed by Executive Director
- Scheduling team meetings and Zoom calls
- Data entry into CRM
- Donation entry
- Contact entry
- Updating of stakeholder information
- Send communication to board members and committees as directed
- Assist with solicitation of donations for annual Walk & Rolls
- Other duties as requested by Executive Director
Job Competencies
Candidates should possess strong computer skills and confidence using Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, as well as a basic understanding of accounting software (QuickBooks) and knowledge of/or a desire to learn Salsa (Constituent Related Database).
Ability to work remotely; must have access to high-speed internet to participate in online meetings, and a computer and printer with scanning capabilities to work independently from home.
Fluency with Zoom software for meetings is necessary.
