We are looking for TWO Activities of Daily Living Skills coaches, to work with residents and promote their highest level of independence.
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Service or Communications field or High School Diploma and at least 5 years directly related experience or comparable. Must have knowledge / experience of the chronically mentally ill and disabled population and crisis management.
Summary:
Assist residents in becoming more self-sufficient, including HANDS-ON help with Activities of Daily Living (Bathing, getting dressed, eating, toileting, oral hygiene, grooming, walking) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (managing finances, housework, shopping, telephone use, technology use, reminders to take medication, navigating and using public transportation, reminders to schedule and make medical and social services appointments, and meal preparation and cleanup). Our Ideal Life Skills Coordinator (now ADL Skills Coach):
A kind, approachable, non-judgmental individual will help our residents by providing services in a compassionate manner, maintaining each resident’s dignity. This person will be most successful if they are a proactive, self-starter who finds something to do when their task list for the day is complete. They are creative in ways to inspire residents to want to improve daily living skills. They have an even temperament and are patient. This position has a lot of fun perks like taking residents to Red’s games, Kings Island, out to eat and more. It also requires lots of hands-on care.

Salary: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
